LORNA RICHARDSON – DIRECTOR
B.Sc (Hons) Physio (UK), MCSP, RPT (Hong Kong), RPT NZ
Lorna is a seasoned Pilates veteran with over 12 years teaching experience and an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham. She is also trained in holistic treatments such as Body Talk – a mind body healing system.
Lorna has a particular interest in the Biokinetik Exercise Technique (BET), a physiotherapy exercise rehabilitation method based on the theories of Joseph Pilates. She was trained by the founders of this technique (** )- currently the only Pilates based technique that has supporting research showing that BET reduces back and neck pain.
AMANDA JONES – MASTER PILATES INSTRUCTOR
Amanda has been teaching Pilates since early 2003. She was trained in the UK and taught for over 5 years in London working with the teacher training studios of Body Control Pilates UK and Pilates Body Europe. Amanda has also taught in Cape Town, developing and teaching Pilates courses before moving back to NZ in 2008. Amanda is a co-author and editor of many of the teacher training manuals for Stability Plus Pilates.
Amanda is inspired by the constant challenge that Pilates presents both in her own body and in those of her clients. by Correcting mis-alignments, muscle imbalances and improving posture, Pilates can make a dramatic difference to the lives of everyone – from professional athletes to those suffering injuries or illness.
