Below are the most common questions regarding attending the courses at Stability Plus.

The prerequisites for each course are listed under each course description. The more advanced courses build on the basic ones, so you must work your way up to the intermediate and advanced courses.

We aim to provide a personal and tailored approach. Course numbers vary depending on the nature of the course but in general, we prefer to limit the numbers to around 10-12 people per course.

There is currently no national regulatory Pilates body in New Zealand. However, Stability Plus is a Registered Exercise Professional (REP) body and is an approved professional trainer with the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy and Fitness Australia.

Once you have completed the Basic Mat course and have completed the mat exam you will be able to teach a basic mat class. However, we strongly recommend you to undertake further advanced courses so you can offer your clients greater variety and challenge and to continue to develop your teaching skills.

Exercise mats and equipment are provided but you are welcome to bring your own mat. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for doing Pilates exercises. Some courses may offer the opportunity to purchase equipment please check the information for each course.

The Courses are typically held at the Peak Pilates and Physiotherapy Studio located at the Scarbro Tennis Centre, 69 Merton Rd, St Johns.All courses are held in easily accessible locations in Auckland. If there is a change of venue, participants will be advised in advance.

Stability Plus instructors are highly experienced Master Pilates Instructors who have undertaken rigorous training and have a minimum of 5 years Pilates teaching experience or are senior physiotherapists. We choose the best possible instructor for each course to ensure that you receive the best possible quality of training and to benefit from our instructors extensive knowledge and experience.
